“ Delicious poké place on the side of the road. There are outdoor seating. They have a wide variety of poké to choose from as well as other foods. If you go late, some might be sold out. The poké was fresh and delicous! I had the California poké and spicy creamy poké, both of which are tuna. I prefer the spicy creamy one better since the California one was a bit salty but both were delicious! I wasn't a fan of the sides we chose. The macaroni potato salad had black olives and the lomi salmon was very salty and sour. Furikake can be added to the rice. ”

“ Homaunau is one of those road side places that most people overlook becoming it doesn't have a huge sign with lights and it's not a chain restaurant. I feel sorry for those that fail to stop. It was a few outdoor tables and chairs on a covered patio and you also have to order at a sliding window. The staff were friendly. But its places like this create some of the most amazing good. We ordered 4 types of poke and multiple sides. The flavors of everything were exceptional. The ingredients were super fresh. Honaunau is one of those special places you need to seek out and enjoy. Definitely on 'My Keepers List'. ”
“ The service is very fast with orders ready in minutes. They were very kind with plenty of extra plates and cutlery to spare. The ambiance is outdoor eating close to a road so you get to have a show of cars passing by . We ordered a 2 Choice Poke Bowl with Traditional Poke, Salmon Poke and Crab Salad. The crab salad was absolutely amazing with a delicious sauce! The Salmon Poke tasted so fresh with a savory sesame sauce. The traditional poke was our least favorite but had a fun local seaweed we hadn't had before. The rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned with Furikake! ”
“ Overall Experience 9.2/10 The restaurant is located on the side of the highway and serves one if the best poke on the island. Their menu is huge and there is a lot of styles of poke and sides to try from. We got the shoyu, Hawaiian, creamy spicy, and south side sweetie for poke and seaweed salad and spicy aioli crab for sides. The food was served in containers within containers, which helps not making a mess if you are traveling with it but we poured it all onto the plate when we ate at the benches outside of the shop. The restaurant has outdoor seating only, and brings the food out to you when it is ready. The service was nice but nothing too special. The food: The poke was incredible, super fresh and the sauces plays with the fish flavor so well. The Hawaiian was a little bit too salty for my personal taste, but my girlfriend enjoyed that one the best. The spicy had a perfect blend of mayo and packs a great kick, something that was only true to this poke shop on the island. The shoyu has a great blend of salty and umami, with the freshness from the green onions and onions. But my favorite was the sweet side sweetie which was a perfect blend of salty, sweet and umami. The sides were great too, I think it has the best seaweed salad on the island. Overall: This was perfect after a day of kayaking and worth driving out of the way for! I would highly recommend to try the south side sweetie, and creamy spicy for the spice lovers. ”
“ Easily 5 out of 5! We were visiting family and this was the one place I really wanted to go to based on my yelp research. We came here after a hike, working up an appetite. We enjoyed the casual, outdoor ambiance. Excellent, fresh poke. The person taking our orders was so friendly, helping us with our choices to have well-rounded poke plates! My favorite was the spicy garlic poke. They had a bunch of vegan/vegetarian options too. ”
